Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky

The nose shows butterscotch, sweet cereal grains, nice fruit tones of citrus and tropical. The palate continues with butterscotch, candied fruits, coconut, and the finish has some dark chocolate notes, raisins and a dash of coconut. D&M Tasting Notes

Notes of cinnamon, clove, lemon and rich oak. Produced at the Miyagikyo Distillery near Sendai. Miyagikyo was the second Nikka distillery and was established in 1969. Distilled from 100% malted barley. Nikka operates two Coffey stills (named after its inventor Aeneas Coffey). These were imported from Scotland in 1963 and yield a distillate with more flavor that modern column stills. Excellent in cocktails. Importer Notes  45% ABV
