Jerome Coessens Largillier Rose Brut Champagne

3000 bottles for the world, and 60 for California, this is a rarity all the way. This comes from a parcel in Jerome's larger vineyard called Matière that would have otherwise been made into a Coteaux Champenois. This is a rosée de saigné with 1 day of maceration on its skins before being fermented and rested in stainless steel for 10 months. Entirely from the 2020 vintage, this is a deep and soulful style of Rose Champagne. The nose opens with aromas of cranberry and tart cherries with forest floor and a bit of savory woody spices. The palate has a presence to it with forest floor, cranberry, a bit of bitter orange and a light spice note to finish. D&M Tasting Notes
