Giovanni Almondo 2022 Roero Arneis

The Almondo's family have been winemakers in the Piedmont for three generations and have over that time amassed 23 hectare of vineyards. Most of the vineyards are on slopes of some kind, and this is quite close to the Barolo zone, but geologically different. They farm organically, and the cuvee name for this translates to scattered vineyards. The nose shows a light peach and nectarine with a hint of pear, with ginger and sandy minerality. The palate is light with a just there sense of texture and a flavor set of pear, citrus, sea spray and a sandy minerality. D&M Tasting Notes
