Domaine De Bichery 2020 La Source Brut Nature Champagne

This is the product of a husband and wife team whose cellar is on the banks of the Seine River in the Aube. They organically farm 7 parcels on less than 7 hectare; their first vintage was 2015, and this 2020 is their first vintage without the addition of sulfur, thus 0/0. This is a blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and just a touch of Pinot Meunier, disgorged as a Brut Nature. The nose opens with an aroma set of stone fruits, tangerine, apricot, spice, chalk, and a just there almandine / bois note. On the palate this is moderate in weight with stone fruits, chalk and an orange fleshed citrus zest. In spite of it not having any added dosage, this has a good presence of fruit flavor without becoming cloying. D&M Tasting Notes
