Domaine De Bichery 2020 Les Fontaines Brut Nature Rose

This is the work of a husband and wife team whose cellar is on the banks of the Seine River in the Aube. They organically farm 7 parcels on less than 7 hectare; their first vintage was 2015, and this 2020 is their first vintage without the addition of sulfur, thus 0/0. This is a rose of Pinot Noir, disgorged as a Brut Nature. It shows a deep raspberry in the glass with an aroma set of pomegranate, strawberry, peach, forest floor, exotic spices, and a bit of minerality. The palate is moderate in weight with blood orange, pomegranate and a forest floor character here. This is very much a food wine for those that appreciate Rose Champagnes with a distinctly Burgundian character. D&M Tasting Notes
