DOM Benedictine Liqueur

Made of herbs, roots and sugar with a Cognac base. Originally used to revive tired Benedictine monks beginning in 1510, the term D.O.M. found on the label stands for Deo Optimo Maximo which translates to "God,  most good, most great" reminds us of the liqueur's origins.

Repo-Bénédictine Manhattan

In a mixing glass with ice, combine:

2 ounces of reposado tequila

1 ounce of Bénédictine,

A dash of Angostura bitters.

Stir all that up until well-chilled, then strain into a cocktail coupe. Garnish with a lime twist, squeezing over the surface of the drink to spray its citrus oils over the top, plus a brandied cherry. Food & Wine
