Wonderful scotch, with nice light peat notes, with the sherry quality of red fruits and nuts coming through on the mid palette, the smoke is not overpowering, a richer style.  D&M Tasting Notes

This is an incredibly complex Islay whisky, with its bonfire smoke, brine, and peppered olive notes balanced by a taming sweetness of vanilla, marshmallow, and toffee. Interwoven notes of candied fruit and sugared almonds round out the palate. Incredibly long finsh. Score: 95 Points The Malt Advocate.

Ardbeg Uigeadail - pronounced 'Oog-a-dal' - takes its name from the loch on Islay that has supplied water to Ardbeg distillery for centuries. This premium expression has been created from specially selected casks from 1990, 1993 plus much older, sherry cask-matured Ardbeg. The resulting malt is true to the 'house style' but with an additional luscious richness.

The Ardbeg Uigeadail Single Malt Scotch Whisky has a intensely smoky nose. Dry, clean, tangy smoke. Like standing downwind of the barbecue while steaks are char-grilled on the beach. Palate: Firm, very smooth, then explodes on the tongue. Finish: Hot. Alcoholic. A shock to the system. Comment: The elemental opposite of the sophisticated Lord of the Isles.
