Troupis Winery 2022 Ekato Moschofilero Skin Contact Wine

"100 days on its skin" Moschofilero (mow-sko-FEEL-err-oh) is a pink skinned grape from the high altitude central Peloponnese in Greece.  This was a native ferment and saw very little sulfur during its time between vineyard and bottle. Here the Ekato saw 100 days of  skin contact and shows a deep red (for a white wine) in the glass. The nose shows a beguiling mix rose hips, rose pedals, almost a red berry, blood orange and a hit of clay spice. The palate has good acidity and a flavor set of berries, blood orange and flower pedals. Fun stuff here. D&M Tasting Notes
