Troupis Winery 2002 Hoof & Lur Moschofilero Skin Contact Wine

2 weeks skin contact.  Moschofilero (mow-sko-FEEL-err-oh) is a pink skinned grape from the high altitude central Peloponnese in Greece. This was a native ferment and saw very little sulfur during its time between vineyard and bottle. Here the Hoof and Lur saw two weeks of skin contact and shows a quite pale pink in the glass. The nose shows a beguiling mix of peach flesh, grapefruit zest, red flowers, and a delicate clover and spice mix. On the palate there is a sense of texture and presence with peach flesh, florals, mixed citrus zests, clay and rose petals. D&M Tasting Notes
