The nose opens with an aroma set of lemon, pear galette, cold butter, white nectarine, clay, and a smoky minerality. The palate is cut driven for sure with acidity and minerality up front that give way to lemon zest, pear, pastry and scones and just there apple notes. With this just being disgorged, this will be even better from 2025 through at least 2040. This bottling is mostly from the 2020 vintage with 20% coming from their Perpetual Reserve. It spent 36 months on its lees before being recently disgorged in April 2024, with a dosage of 4 grams per liter. D&M Tasting Notes.
