Piollot Collas Robin 2016 Piollot Vineyard Pinot Blanc Brut Nature Champagne

This comes from a single organically farmed parcel of Pinot Blanc on Chalk and Kimmeridgian soils. It was fermented and rested in 80% in steel tanks and 20% in barrels, then kept on the lees for five years disgorgement as a Brut Nature. Like all of the Champagnes from Piollot, the wine is disgorged non-dosé. The nose opens with a light floral tone with some citrus, nectarine and mangosteen, and a light chalk. The nose is just shy of moderate in weight with white flowers, citrus, white fleshed stone fruits and a savory saline note to finish. This is quite a single parcel bottling. D&M Tasting Notes
