Old Pulteney Huddart Single Malt Scotch

A new expression from Old Pulteney. A blend of 8, 12,  and 15 year old distillate that has been finished in a peated cask for 10-11 months. The traditional aromas of orchard fruits and saltine crackers, but now there is a little mesquite smoke element. The palate is light and pretty with fresh grain and a bit of peanut brittle, and salted caramel on the finish. D&M Tasting Notes

Rich and warming. Brimming initially with mellow wood smoke, honey and oily leather, blooming later into crisp green apple. Creamy vanilla and a hint of burnt toffee in the background. Freshly-ground spices and soft vanilla balance the notes of smoke and peat fire. There are both richly sweet and distinctly salty coastal flavours in the background, together reminiscent of salted caramel. Distillery Notes
