Matthiasson 2020 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

The Matthiasson's family's approach to early harvest paid dividends in the 2020 harvest. The beguiling nose shows bright currant, plum, cocoa nib, and oak spice. The palate has a presence of tannin to it with oak spice, cocoa nibs, plum currants and a hit of refreshing minerality to finish. D&M Tasting Notes

The nose shows abundant dark and red fruits, lots of cherry along with blackberry, cranberry, mulberry, and framed with hints of mineral/herbal characters such as graphite, cedar, and pencil shavings. The palate is vibrant and fresh, with a good amount of age-worthy tannin and beautiful acidity. Decanting is highly recommended. The blend is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4 % Petit Verdot, and 1% Cabernet Franc.  1926 cases produced.  Winery Notes
