Louis Roederer 2015 Brut Champagne

A worthy successor to the excellent 2014 vintage, this is a bit ligher and more acid driven versus that vintage. This is made up of 70% Pinot Noir, and 30% Chardonnay; 34% was aged in oak barrels. After five years on its lees it was disgorged with 8 grams per liter of dosage. The nose shows a light toast with yellow plum, apple, and a just there clotted cream note. The palate is just shy of moderate in weight with apple, plums, toasted bread, clotted cream and hazelnut on the finish. D&M Tasting Notes
