Jean Vesselle 2011 Le Petit Clos Grand Cru Brut Champagne

The domaine’s top cuvée and one the finest, small-batch and handmade Blanc de Noirs Champagnes you can find, Petit Clos is the heart of the family domaine, a quarter-acre walled Pinot Noir vineyard and one of the smallest ‘clos’ vineyards in Champagne. It is100% Pinot Noir from vines aged 15-30 years old and grown on a mix of clay and chalk soils. The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented on select yeast in French oak barrels, and then aged for more than 10 years in bottle. The dosage is less than 4g/L.
