Francois Feuillet 2017 Gevrey Chambertin

Biodynamic. Francois Feuillet made his money selling RVs in france and after buying a retiring vigneron's vineyard parcels installed David Duband as his winemaker. This is from parcels on the north side of the village, mostly lieu-diets Journaux, Gueulepines, and Pince-Vin with a small amount from parcels just below Charmes-Chambertin. In the cellar this was made with 2/3 whole cluster and after going through fermentation over 17 days spent 14 months in oak, of which 40% was new. This shows a bit brick in the glass with an aroma set of dried cherry, a savory charcuitre, gentle earth, mixed spices, and a bit of clay. The palate shows a resolved tannin structure with dried cherry, a bit of earth and a mix of spice and clay minerality. D&M Tasting Notes
