Cuish Madrecuishe Joven Mezcal

Aromas of mango, prickle pear, and sweet mesquite smoke. Palate has a soft aloe slick texture with a lingering pepper/slight oiliness, and clay minerals. D&M Tasting Notes  LOT: HBG-MDR-02

Produced in San Luis Amatlán, Oaxaca by maestro mezcalero Agustín Quendoliain, this example of the Agave karwinskii variety was distilled using a traditional copper pot still with a small external condenser (or “refrescadera”) which is common in the southern mountains of Miahuatlán. Aromatic and powerful, this is an outstanding and unique mezcal. Highly recommended. Cuish Mezcaleria was founded in 2009 by Felix Hernandez Monterrosa, in the same location where his parents once ran a small mezcal shop (“expendio”). Felix and his family have a long history in both the production and preservation of traditional mezcales in Oaxaca, through commercial and civic organizations. Importer Notes
