The Château du Breuil was built during the time Good King Henry was on the throne of France as a country estate for the nobility. Over the centuries the Château was owned by by several noble families, but as a Calvados producer it came into being in 1954. In that year Philippe Bizouard purchased the estate and converted it from country house to a working business. Bizouard’s family had been long time producers in Calvados, but it was 1954 when the family marks its beginnings as an Estate.
