Chateau Beaulon 5 Yr. Pine Au Des Charentes

This is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon juices with fermentation stopped with the addition of Cognac; it has 110 grams per liter of residual sugar and was aged in oak barrels for five years. The nose is beguiling with an aroma set of light hazelnuts, dried stone fruits, honey, flowers, and a light bit of oak spice. The palate is soft and round and would work both on its own and paired against rich dishes such as foie gras or gratins. D&M Tasting Notes
