Barnard Griffin 2021 Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

This is one of the first ten wineries in Washington State, so they know the state quite well. 2021 was hot in Columbia Valley early in the growing season (think Death Valley hot) which lead to concentrated berries and a deep hued wine. Here the wine was sourced from three vineyard sites in White Bluffs, Yakima and Columbia Valleys. In the glass this shows aromas of plum, dark cherry, cocoa, oak spice, and thyme. On the palate this is old school with dark fruits, oak spice and a light hit of herbs. D&M Tasting Notes
