From 2 plots: The village: Les Grillons and Les Vignes de la Haie Benoit, on soils that are a mix of sand, clay, and limestone. The Les Vignes de Montigny is entirely from the 2020 vintage and a mix of 50/50 blend of Pinot Noir (15 Year old vines), and 50+ year old Meunier vines. 65% of this was raised in old oak with the balance being stainless steel, and after three years on its lees it was disgorged with a dosage of 2.5 grams per liter. The nose opens with an aroma of peach galette, toasted almonds, fresh pastry dough, and green apple. The palate has a salivary activating quality and the flavors open with stone fruits, apple, just there chalk and clay and a bit of an earthy forest floor note to finish.
