Thomas Labaille 2022 Chavignol 'Les Monts Damnés Sancerre

This cuvée comes from the single cru of Les Monts Damnés, which is Sancerre's most famous vineyard and steepest; so steep its name translates to "The Damned Heights". It was fermented with native yeasts and aged in mostly SS with some old oak barrels. The nose shows a bit of citrus, nectarine, almost guava, and just there minerality. The palate has a nice sense of weight and texture to it with stone fruits, citrus, spice and a just there note of minerality to finish. D&M Tasting Notes
