Staoisha (Bunnahabain) 3 YR. John Milroy Bottling Single Malt Scotch Whisky

This is Peated Bunnahabain. Aromas of ocean breeze, campfire, hardwood, smoke,and nori. The palate is smoke, spice and saline, with light earth with the hit of nori and sea breeze again. Finishes with a little sulfur. D&M Tasting Notes Heavily Peated, Single Cask. Distilled: 2013. Bottled: 2017. Cask #216 56%ABV  

A note on the new bottler John Milroy. John and his brother got their start in the Soho district in London in the 1960s, and focused on the joys of single malts when everyone else was ‘innovating’ with blends. In 2009 in the wake of the financial crisis they sold the ageing stock and name to Berry Brothers and Rudd, a London concern that has existed since the late 1600s and is most well known as the proprietors of Glenrothes. We were happy to taste this barrel and are looking forward to what else may be coming down the pipe. Michael Kennel, D&M
