Mount Eden Vineyards 2019 Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir

This is a mountain Pinot Noir, and by that we mean that there is a sense of structure to this in addition to the fruit. The nose shows Santa Rosa plums with blood orange, oak, and a bit of cola. The palate has a tannin backbone that softens with time in glass and a flavor set of plums, savory spice and herbs, and just there oak notes. D&M Tasting Notes

Crystalline raspberry and hibiscus aromas are dusted in light earth and herb tones on the nose of this delicate bottling. The palate is candied with subdued strawberry flavors, as hints of mace and cardamom play with hints of herb.  92 PointsWine Enthusiast November 2022
