Les Frères Mignon L’AVENTURE Blanc des Blancs Extra Brut Champagne

Premier Cru. Grower. The Mignon brothers Julien and Florent come from a long line of both winemakers as well as grape growers. This cuvee comes from the Grand Cru villages of Avize & Cramant with the addition of fruit from the Premier Cru village of Cuis. Is is mostly from the 2020 harvest with a reserve drawn from 2016-2019. It was aged in a combination of stainless steel and oak barrels ranging in size from small to quite large 5000L barrels. It was aged on its lees for 31 months before being disgorged without the addition of dosage. That said, with ripe grapes and indigenous yeast there is 5 grams per liter of sugar. The nose shows a light hit of pear and yellow skinned apples with citrus and just there minerality. There is a generosity on the palate with just there notes of lemon oil, mixed citrus zests, and yellow apple and pear all with a mineral wrapper.  Disgorged: 10/20/2023 D&M Tasting Notes
