Jolie Laide 2023 Cabernet Franc/Gamay Rose

The 2023 rosé is a blend of 70% Gamay and 30% Cabernet Franc, sourced from the high-elevation granite soils of Barsotti Vineyard in El Dorado. Harvested in mid-September and early October, both grape varieties were kept separate during the winemaking process to preserve their distinct qualities and allow for a decision on the final blend. To ensure the retention of acidity and freshness in the wine, the grapes were whole cluster pressed to stainless steel for native yeast fermentation and then rested in neutral puncheons before blending and bottling.

Perfumes of stone fruit, spring flowers and grapefruit peel. Citrus, melon, early strawberry, Himalayan pink sea salt on the palate. This is a playful wine. Light on its feet and ready to dance. Winery Notes
