Gaston Chiquet Cuvee Reserve Brut Champagne

This Grower cuvee is made up of 40% Meunier, 35% Chardonnay, and 25% Pinot Noir, of which 81 percent comes from the 2014 vintage with the remaining 19 percent from 2013. This delighted us with a deep sense of fruit balanced quite well with mineral, cream, and bake shop notes. The nose opens with yellow and white peach joined to soft citrus, brioche, clotted cream, and just-there minerality. The palate has a presence to it with cream, stone fruits, citrus zests, and a lovely note of minerality. This is excellent now but will last at least through 2033.
