Francois Feuillet 2020 Chambolle Musigny

Biodynamic. This is a wine with quite a backstory as it is a collaboration bottle between vineyard owner and vigneron. Francois Feuillet is a retired businessman that has purchased an amazing collection of vineyards in Burgundy. He has a longstanding collaboration with winemaker David Duband with the arrangement that after David does the farming and winemaking, half goes to Francois and half to David. The site here is organically farmed with roughly two thirds whole cluster fermentation including the stems in the cellar. The nose shows a soaring aromatic profile of pretty red and black fruits, lilac, delicate turned earth and just there oak spice. The palate here is moderate in weight with some florals giving way to a mix of red and black fruits and some earth notes.
