Florez Wines 2022 Edelzwicker White Wine

The name of this wine is a nod to the Alsace region in France where Edelzwicker means a blend of white grapes; it is a blend of 42% Pinot Gris, 33% Gewurztraminer and 25% Riesling from the organically farmed McFadden vineyard in Potter Valley, Mendocino. In term of the winemaking this had a native ferment on its lees for six months in a combination of SS and old oak, and was bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with no added sulfur. This has a bit of cloudiness if well chilled and a fun aroma set of lemon, lime, apricot, peach, and some tropical notes. On the palate there is a good sense of texture with a flavor set that echoes the nose- stone fruits, lemon lime, and yellow fleshed tropical fruits all are present and accounted for.
