Domaine Changarnier 2018 Pommard Les Vaumuriens

This Domaine has been based in Monthelie for three hundred years, and in addition to being certified organic beginning in 2019, they have a less is more winemaking philosophy. This is from the Les Vaumuriens plot that is located at an altitude of 375 meters on the hilltop at Pommard, facing Les Vignots, where there is less iron in the soil versus the norm in Pommard. 2018 is showing wonderfully at the moment with a nose of violets, dark cherry, plum, earth, anise, and clay. The palate has a presence to it with anise, black cherry, plum, earth and a clay minerality. D&M Tasting Notes
