Clos Manou 2019 Medoc Bordeaux

In that bastion of traditionalism: Bordeaux, comes this fantastic estate in the Haut Medoc. Across the property they have three different soil types, and the percentages that go into this wine are: 47% each Cabernet and Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot, and the remainder is Cab Franc. The fermentation was native in concrete eggs. The nose is full and complex with aromas of plum, cassis, cedar, cigar box, crushed rocks and a hint of earth. The palate has a presence to it with fine grained tannins and a flavor set at this point in time of it evolution of cassis, black cherries, sweet oak and cigar box. A truly wonderful wine.
