Benoit Lahaye Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut Champagne

Grower. This cuvée is made from 100% Pinot Noir from Bouzy (“Les Vaux Bétins” and “Les Hannepés” plots with deep soils) and Tauxières, in an area called “Les Argentières”, with more chalk. The vines were planted in 1980 and 1990, with a planting density of 8400 plants/hectare, on root-stock: 41B. Pruning type: Cordon de Royat.

The grapes from each parcel are pressed separately and fermentation takes place in oak barrels. The wine was bottled unfiltered in the summer 2018, without prior racking. Dosage : 4 gr/liter (Extra-Brut). Energetic and persistant through the finish, with dark-toned fruit underlined by a stony minerality. 9,000 bottles produced.  Biodynamic, Certified Organic
