Resonance Chardonnay Willamette Valley 2022
“Sleek yet luxurious, this impressive white offers rich Asian pear, nectarine and lemon zest flavors that gather richness and flesh on the long finish.” - 94 PTS, TIM FISH, WINE SPECTATOR (11/2024)
“A core of lemon driven intensity the Résonance Willamette Valley bottlings are nearly as impressive as the single vineyard designates. This wine is a combination of the estate vineyards and some of the Willamette Valley's top sites. Aromas of sweet Meyer lemon blossom, fragrant gardenias, and smoky grilled lemon peel. The palate showcases a real vibrance of fruit, early season stone fruits, lemon curd and bright mineral elements. Crisp acidity yet richly balanced.” - 93 PTS, CLIVE PURSEHOUSE, DECANTER (04/2024)
“The 2022 Chardonnay Willamette Valley impresses with its fruit-forward yet beautifully balanced personality, blending yellow apples with chamomile, ginger and hints of white smoke. This is soothingly round with a balance of saline minerals and ripe pears, all guided by brisk acidity. It finishes with admirable length and gentle tension, leaving minty herbal tones to linger on." - 91 PTS, ERIC GUIDO, VINOUS MEDIA (05/2024)
DISTRIBUTOR NOTES:
TASTING: “A wine with a bright golden color and an elegant nose of white flowers, lemon peel, fresh almond, white pepper and vanilla, and a generous palate. The volume in mouth is highlighted by a nice tension, fruity aromas and a subtle minerality.”
VINEYARDS: "Sourced from both estate vineyards (Résonance, Découverte and the Home Ranch Vineyards) and top vineyards in the Willamette Valley. The wine showcases the absolute best of the Willamette Valley, and elegantly blends Maison Louis Jadot’s winemaking with the Willamette Valley’s signature terroir."
VINTAGE: “The winter 2021-2022 was relatively warm until an April snow and frost in Yamhill-Carlton. The spring stayed cold and wet which was helpful as it delayed the growing season as the vines recovered. The summer provided ample warmth, with dry conditions, and a warm September, gave unique conditions for the ripening period. In the Yamhill-Carlton vineyards, the warm and long summer conditions gave fruit with perfect ripeness despite low yeilds. In Decouverte and Koosah vineyards, the vintage saw amazing quality and stronger yields. The Chardonnay is expressive and concentrated.”
