Oban 15 Year Cask Strength Port Cask Finish

The nose opens with classic Oban notes of black pepper, some gentle earth, toasted grains, and mixed stone fruits. What the Port barrel finish adds is a dried cherry and fruitcake notes to the nose. On the palate the proof shows itself more in a sense of texture with dried cherries and apples, fresh grain, and almond croissant notes. MK D&M Tasting Notes August 2026

Aged in American Oak Hogsheads and finished in American Oak Port Casks, it delivers juicy red fruit, gentle sweetness, and a dry, balanced finish.”

TASTING: “NOSE - Dry and mellow with notes of white wine, raspberries, vanilla ice cream, and subtle maritime freshness; APPEARANCE - Pale sunlight, with a very faint blush. Good, intricate beading; PALATE - Soft and creamy with honeyed sweetness, juicy red fruit, gentle salinity, and a developing peppery spice; FINISH - Short to medium, dry and lightly sweet, with lingering white pepper and warming spice”
