Jager Gruner Veltliner Federspiel Ried Klaus 2024

From a producer that has farmed their 5 hectare of parcels in the Wachau for five generations. This bottling comes from the slopes of Ried Klaus in Weissenkirchen, and for the soil geeks-- granite predominates with quartz and loess deposits. This is delightfully focused with a nose that is bright and light with some white pepper up front, citrus and a whisper of lychee with a core of white stones. On the palate this is just shy of moderate with good acidity and a flavor set that shows good extract and density with a core of minerality with light notes of lychee and delicate white pepper. - D&M TASTING NOTES (MK, May, 2026)
