Ghostwriter Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay 2023

PRODUCER NOTES:

OVERVIEW: “The Ghostwriter dates back to 2008. The goal then and now is to showcase the immense potential of the Santa Cruz Mountains. It’s our goal to produce lasting & delicious wines that are unique to this part of California.”

TASTING: “The wine displays aromas of yeast, nuts, and a damp cellar, complemented by flavors of lemon and butterscotch. This Chardonnay exhibits all the hallmarks of a vintage that will age gracefully.”

VINIFICATION: “Each of the two lots was whole-cluster pressed and fermented in a concrete egg for a year on the lees before being racked to 228L Burgundy barrels for an additional nine months with minimal topping.”
