Fouassier Sancerre Sur Le Fort 2023

The Fouassier family has been growing in the village of Sancerre since the 1700s, and are now helmed by cousins Benoit and Paul Fouassier. This is from the Sur la Fort single site, and has been farmed organically and biodynamically for over a decade. The soils here are limestone and Kimmerigian and show a nice precise style throughout. The nose opens with a light touch of fruit with wet stone and a light lemon. On the palate this shows some sunshine in the glass with lemon, wet stones, and a just there waxy texture.
