COS Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico della Bastonaca 2019

This is a DOCG wine from Bastonaca, Vittoria in South Eastern Sicily, at about 750 feet above sea level. The grapes are organically farmed and this is a blend of 40% Frappato and 60% Nero d'Avola, aged in oak with native yeast and little sulfur. The nose is gorgeous with an aroma set of sour cherry, pomegranate, mixed spices, and turned earth after the first rain. The palate is light to just shy of moderate in weight with sour cherry and pomegranate balanced by just there spice and a bit of earth. D&M Tasting Notes
