This NV Brut is primarily based on the 2015 vintage, with 77% Chardonnay, 14% Pinot Noir (blanc de noirs), and 9% still Pinot from the 2007 and 2009 vintages. According to Vinous Media, you'll find sweet red cherries, pomegranate flowers, and mint all flowing through to an intense, creamy finish. Vinous Median oddity, A. Margaine's Brut Rose rises above it's brethren within the Montagne de Reims as a shining star of Chardonnay production in a heavily dominant Pinot Noir region. Vineyard sites, nestled amongst the slopes and spread out into the surrounding plains around Reims, are primarily known for the Pinot Noir production. In which, there are nine Grand Cru villages, all focused on this singularly red grape. While elegance has it's place within many Champagne regions, the words 'power' and 'intensity' are what come to mind when thinking of the Montagne de Reims.
