Frank August Small Batch Kentucky Bourbon

Founded in 2022 by former fashion executive Johnathan Crocker and partners, Frank August is a non-distilling producer (NDP) that sources and blends whiskey from Kentucky distilleries. Its flagship Small Batch is a 100-proof Kentucky bourbon, blended in batches of 10 to 15 barrels sourced from an undisclosed distillery or distilleries.

Frank August was established with the intention of evolving the story of American bourbon by pairing authenticity with contemporary design and philosophy. Their Small Batch Bourbon embodies this identity-forward approach, serving as a core representation of the brand's mission.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Opens with hints of caramel and vanilla balanced with warm oak and mild baking spices which warm the senses.

Palate: Echoes those initial sweet caramel and vanilla notes on the front of the tongue, with cinnamon and rye bread spices coming forward as it gradually transitions to the back of the palate. At 100 proof, it is a perfect balance of heat and smoothness, with hints of brown and malt sugars presenting themselves.

Finish: Flavors of vanilla, oak, and baking spices transition through all senses, leaving a medium to long finish that leaves you wanting another glass.
