Fuenteseca Cosecha Blanco Tequila 2020

The 2020 Cosecha ("harvest") release from Fuenteseca is crafted from Blue Weber Agave cultivated at an elevation exceeding 6,700 feet in iron-rich volcanic soil in San Ignacio Cerro Gordo, Jalisco. Following harvest, the agave underwent a 24-hour cooking process in a low-pressure autoclave, followed by crushing with a roller mill and screw mill. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks using proprietary yeast and deep well water. The spirit was then double-distilled in copper pot stills and rested in stainless steel tanks prior to bottling at 45.7% ABV. This high-altitude, volcanic terroir imparts a sweeter, softer, and more floral character to this blanco tequila.
