Von Beulwitz 2021 Riesling GG Grosses Gewachs Im Taubenberg

 The nose opens with a white stone minerality that was joined by aromas of white flowers, Meyer lemon, and nectarines. On the palate there is a very precise mineral hit up front that gives way to ripe white fleshed stone fruits and a bit of crushed rocks.  D&M Tasting Notes

This is made by Erben Von Beulwitz from the Kaseler Nischen Im Tauenberg vineyard and is made up of dry Riesling, given the GG designation for being a great site. This is made by Herbert Weis who has owned this property for over 40 years. The site itself is situated south to southwest with Devonian slate soils and in parts the slop is up to 40% grade!
