Theo Minges 2007 Burrweiler Schlossgarten Riesling Spatlese

This is quite gorgeous and well balanced for almost 15 year old wine. The nose shows honeyed apricot, stone fruits, some light nuts, and a just there note of citrus. The body is light and lively with moderate acid, some residual sugar and a balance of citrus, stone fruits, light petrol and minerality. D&M Tasting Notes

All of the riesling vines are Mosel clones planted on chalky, stony soil almost 40 years ago by Theo’s father. Minges farms with organic practices, and is in the process of transitioning to bio-dynamics; though he’s most interested in the energy in the life-cycle of bio-dynamic practices, he intends to achieve certification in the near future.
