Petit Figeac 2015 St Emilion Grand Cru

The 2015 Petit-Figeac has come together nicely since I last tasted it. Fruity, forward and supple, it is tasty second wine meant to be enjoyed in its youth. The slightly roasted character I saw en primeur is less evident today. 89 Points Points Antonio Galloni, Vinous February 2018

Composed of 32% Merlot, 48% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc, the medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Petit Figeac reveals notes of warm cherries, red currant jelly, aniseed and forest floor with touches of wild blueberries and blackberries. Medium-bodied, very finely crafted, elegant and refreshing, it fills the mouth with open-knit red and black fruits, finishing with a velvety texture paving the way. 91 PointsRobert Parker's Wine Advocate, February 2018
