Marie Demets "Singularité" Pinot Blanc Brut Champagne

This rare variety cuvée comes from the domaine's only plot (.4ha) of Pinot Blanc planted in 1992 on clay-limestone soils with a southwest exposure. The wine was aged for 10 months in stainless steel vats on the lees and then a further 30 months in bottle. It was bottled with a dosage of 1.5 g/L with a total of only 3,946 total bottles produced. Characterized by sweet yellow fruit aromas and a pronounced mineral finish, this is ideal with white meats.

The Demets family is based in Gyé-sur-Seine in the fabulous village of Côte des Bar. The winery covers slightly over 10 hectares of vines spread over the villages of Gyé-sur-Seine, Neuville-sur-Seine, Courteron, Polisy and Buxeuil; along the Seine Valley. The vineyard's 15 plots stand on limestone and clay soil (Kimmeridgian and Portland Group) all with different exposures. - Winery Notes
