Marc Hebrart NV Rose Champagne

Premier Cru. Grower Champagne.  Blend of 2017 and 2016. In the glass this is a pale and pretty rose, almost closer to an Oeil de Perdrix style with an aroma set of white raspberry, blood orange, cedar, and just there forest floor. The palate is light and focused with just there fruits, a whisper of cream, and a quite pleasant minerality. D&M Tasting Notes

Continuing the family tradition of excellence in Champagne, Jean-Paul Hebrart farms 37 acres of vines on 68 different sites in 6 villages. These parcels are vinified separately to preserve the terroir of these distinct sites. Jean Paul is not dogmatic when it comes to his grapes and with so many sites (and neighbors) he cannot call himself biodynamic though he does strive towards minimizing synthetic products interfering with his wine’s sense of place. 60% Chardonnay, 33.5% Pinot Noir and 6.5% still red wine.
