Lodi Corazza Bianco 2019 Mascerato Il Dissidente

This is quite a different orange wine versus others we have seen and carry. It is organic Pignoletto that was kept on its skins for 120 days before being aged for 6 months in large chestnut barrels. This nose shows an initial hit of orange peel that gives way nicely to notes of dried apricot and nectarine, clove, and sage. The palate is structured with a distinct tannin presence with orange peel, stone fruit flesh and a light hit of forest floor and baking spice. D&M Tasting Notes

Since 1877, the Corazza family has made wine in the Bolognese hills. Today, Cesare Corazza and his sister Silvia farm 18 hectares of the red soil of Zola Predosa organically, with a passion towards preserving the area’s biodiversity. They vinify their native Pignoletto and Barbera into both still and sparkling cuvées.
