• Lioco 2018 Sonoma County Chardonnay

This returns to the clean and focused style after a little more texture with the 2017 vintage. This 'Chablis of California' shows aromas of cool pear, light citrus, and a wet stone seam in the nose. The palate is light with moderate acid and a clean citrus and mineral. This is a return to the norm. D&M Tasting Notes

Today the winery is owned and operated by the Licklider family. Husband/wife duo Matt and Sara Licklider and their small team produce the wines at a state-of-the-art winemaking cooperative in Santa Rosa. All of the fruit is purchased from exceptional vineyards spanning 200-miles and three counties (Santa Cruz, Sonoma, and Mendocino).

The focus is on Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Carignan from sites with older vines, interesting soil, and heritage clones.
