This impressed with a heady mix of fruit and barrel notes. The nose shows fresh peaches, golden raisin, baking spices, barrel and a light floral lift. The palate has a great sense of texture here with a wonderful balance of fruit, alcohol, and barrel notes. D&M Tasting Notes

Jean-Luc Pasquet and his wife, Marie-Françoise, had been growing fruit conventionally on their 7 hectare estate until 1995 when they began to explore organic winemaking. In 1998, they were granted "Agriculture Biologique" certification. Their Coeur (meaning "heart") de Grande Champagne is not labeled with an age-statement or VS, etc. designation, but is intended as an entry-level offering with 5-10 years of aging in Limousin oak.
