James E. Pepper 1776 Straight Bourbon Whiskey

This has a high rye mash bill. The nose has a lite sweetness to it of seasoned cookie spices, ginger and vanilla extract, but balanced by wood spice and chili powder. The palate has pineapple upside down cake and vanilla wafer with rye spice keeping the sweet notes in check. D&M Tasting Notes, June 2019.
